Course objectives
The aim of the course is the theoretical and practical preparation of a choirmaster for quality choir conducting at primary and secondary school.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course student
- manages the conducting work of the choirmaster of the school choir on a qualitative level.
- focuses on organizational and operational matters of the choirmaster
Syllabus
  • The deepening of conducting techniques and knowledge through the interpretation of compositions of different styles of style (Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism, 20th century, non-classical genres Types of choirs, concert setting of choir, organization of rehearsals, dramaturgy plan of the choir. Choir production for children, significant choirmasters and conductors of the 20th century. Repertoire: C. Monteverdi: Madrigals A. Michna: Selection from the collections of spiritual songs G.F. Händel: The Messiah (selection) A. Dvořák: Moravian duets(selection) B. Martinů: a selection of madrigals L. Bernstein: West Side Story (Selection)
