- The subject is designed as a mandatory in the PhD study program of Social Education.
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The subject objectives are a continuous study and research within the doctoral study programme which will be reflected in expert discussions with the supervisor, but also in the context of the thesis preparation. At the same time, the course has a control function which enables the supervisor and the guarantor of the study programme to assess the doctoral student’s enhanced expertise in the research field. The subject is closely related to the key courses of the research field and to the interdisciplinary research approach. Through self-study the student acquires the necessary insight into the research field as well as into the dissertation topic. The course content is assigned by the supervisor who also coordinates the particular doctoral student’s professional growth. Publications are related to the research field and to the topic of the dissertation thesis.
- Learning outcomes
- The students will be able to: • publish academic texts according to faculty regulations; • teach according to faculty regulations; • participate in educational activities, participate in both local and foreign conferences; • develop their skills of academic English (theory and methodology), • cooperate with local and foreign academic institutions.
- Syllabus
- The students will fulfill other requirements for PhD studies which are defined in the Dean´s regulation called Standard requirements for Doctoral studies and results ot the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University. Among the requirements are publishing and teaching activities during the course of study and Internships and Research Internships in Czech Republic and abroad.

- Discussions, consultations, projects aimed at enhancing expertise in the research field of Social Education.
