Course objectives
Student knows organization dedicated to counselling and intervention for children with visual impairments, the student will be able to define and explain the activities of these organizations. Student will know the basic interventional and diagnostic procedures for the target group of visually impaired children in preschool age
Learning outcomes
The student knows the history of intervention in people with visual impairment
Student will be familiar with the tasks of Vision Therapy
The student can use the methods of visual stimulation
Student will know Lilli Nielsen Methodology and aids by Lilli Nielsen
The student can diagnose major visual functions using diagnostic tests

  • Lilli Nielsen - Theory of Active learning, special aids according to Lilli Nielsen

  • Diagnostics of visual impairment with a focus on functional vision, diagnostic methods according to Lea Hyvarinen
