Course objectives
The interconnectedness of the world's economies has been constantly growing in recent decades thanks to a number of global trends (especially technological ones), but at the same time events (e.g. the covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine) are appearing that disrupt this interconnectedness.
The aim of the subject is to understand the functioning of different economic activities in individual regions of the world, their development trends and, above all, mutual dependence and interconnectedness creating a worldwide network of economic, social and environmental relations. The subject focuses on familiarizing students with the basics of the geography of transport as one of the main integration factors and the geography of trade and tourism as non-manufacturing sectors of the economy.
