Course objectives
This subject deals with the sound language form describing it. It is concentrated on the literary pronunciation of the Czech and foreign words, on the sound structure of the Czech language and it compares the sound form of language with the graphical form of texts. It brings information about the most important and frequent speech deviations.
Syllabus
  • 1.Describing of the Czech language; vowels and consonants. 2.Describing of the Czech language; sound units in the fluent speaking 3.Literary pronunciation. Vowels, their quality and quantity. Rules of using glottal stop. 4.Pronunciation of the consonants and the consonants groups. Assimilation of the voices and sonorousness. 5.Pronunciation of the foreign words. 6.The sequences in the speech development. Speech deviations.
