Course objectives

The aim is: - to understand english chemical text, - to be able to make notices and to retell in English the content of the text after reading, - to be able to express oneself about chemical problems without vocabulary

Syllabus

• 1) Types of Matter 2) Chemical nomenclature 3) Chemical Glassware 4) Accidents and First Aid 5) Chemistry Beyond The Classroom (Breath Analysis for Ethyl Alcohol, The Aurora, The Ozone Story, Acid Rain, The Greenhouse Effect, Biological Effects of Radiation)

Seminar. In the end the students show to the teacher that the aim of the education was fulfilled. The aim is: - to understand english chemical text, - to be able to make notices and to retell in English the content of the text after reading, - to be able to express oneself about chemical problems without vocabulary. No written exam.
