Cíle předmětu
Students will work on improving their English in all four major skill groups: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes will move quickly through the coursebook, New Progress to Proficiency. As students are training to be teachers, they will be expected to take an active role in their own learning, with an eye toward understanding how to share information with their peers, and later their own students.

  • The syllabus is drawn from Units 7 to 11 of New Progress to Proficiency. Two written assignment are required.

Metody hodnocení
Course Requirements: Attendence is mandatory. Any student missing more than 3 classes without prior approval from the teacher will not be allowed to sit the exam. Active not passive involvement. Two written assignments. Homework and preparation as advised. Final exam with papers in Use of english, Reading, Listening and essay. Oral examination All papers must achive 65% pass mark. Failure in one paper - that paper must be repeated. Failure in more than one paper - whole exam must be repeated.
