Course objectives
The seminary is aimed at the fundamental principles of the contemporary Czech orthography; the students shall intensify their knowledge of the orthography, especially of some orthography difficulties.
Syllabus
  • 1. Principles of the Czech orthography. 2. Components of the Czech orthography - lexical, morphological and syntactical. 3. Lexical orthography: prefix s-, z-, consonantgroups, letter "ě" in connection with "b", "p", "v", "f", "m", capital letters; orthography of the "second-hand" words. 4. Morphological orthography; some difficult forms of the declinable words. 5. Orthography in syntax, punctuation. Congruence of the subject and predicate.
