Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: - to understand the basic geological processes of the Earth - to survey the mineralogical and petrological material - to prepare and to realise easy experiments - to work with study literature - to explain basic geological processes SKILLS - The student after completion of training unit able to define all 11 following the course content. UNDERSTANDING - Student is a graduate training unit able to explain the nature of the curriculum. APPLICATIONS - The student after completion of training the unit can interpret the curriculum. ANALYSIS - The student after completion of training unit able to analyze curriculum. Synthesis - the student is a graduate education can make the basic unit of content. EVALUATION - As a graduate student training unit able to justify discussed curriculum. 1st Introduction to the Study of Mineralogy and Petrology 2nd Geometric crystallography 3rd Physical (including structural and optical) 4th crystallography Chemical crystallography 5th Establishment minerals 6th Systematic Mineralogy 7th Precious stones and metals 8th Economically important minerals 9th General petrology 10th Systematic petrography 11th Economically important rocks.

  • The subject of mineralogy and petrology study. Geometric crystalography. Physics crystalography. Chemistry crystalography. Genesis of minerals. Systhematic mineralogy. Gemstones and gemirons. General petrologie. Systematic petrography. Economics significant stones.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods is: - Laboratory exercises - 14 practical creation of crystallographic models - Exploring and identifying minerals and rocks.
Assessment methods
practice, interactive test, verbal examination. Test with open questions, a total of 30 questions, from 30 questions is: A = 30 correct answers, B = 29, C = 28, D = 27, E = 26, F = 25 and less correct answers.
