The course is intended for the 3th grade of Bachelor's degree programme full-time study mode, two-field combination.

Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able: to learn practically the history of French literature of the given period; to define mains elements of differentiate individual literary styles; to illustrate the theory by means of texts; differentiate individual literary styles of the given period; to categorise them chronologically and compare them reciprocally.
Syllabus
  • 1. Thematic and literary theoretical views of analysis. 2. Comparison with another thematically similar text of the same period. 3. Analysis of a historical context. 4. Comparison with another thematically similar text of the another literary period. 5. Individual work with a selected text. 6. Preparation for the analysis of a literary text in bachelor and diploma works.

Assessment methods
Workshop Ending: credit. Requirements for ending: meet the workshop requirements and the active participation (70%). Test (as a successful test is considered one with at least 70 % right answers).
