Course objectives
The course continues the courses - Geoinformatics for the Teacher and Cartography. The aim of this course is to teach students the further work with the GIS. At the end of this course, students should be able to create their own maps (in ArcView 9.x) with all the obligatory components.

  • The Basis of the work with ArcView 9.x
  • Data adding and editing; work with the attribute table; editing
  • Visualisation, digitalization
  • Elaboration of a map

seminars in Laboratory GIS, homework in Laboratory GIS
Assessment methods
practice; Attendance required. To complete this course successfully, it is necessary to submit the final work. Each student is supposed to work in the GIS Laboratory independently.
