- Course objectives
- This is a survey course of British History from Prehistoric times of Britain till the 90s of the last century. Its aim is to provide part of the historical and cultural background necessary for those intending to be become English language teachers, as well as to serve as an introduction and foundation for further studies in British cultures and literature. The lecture class will end with an exam. T
At the end of this course, students should be able to understand and be able to explain the main events in the British history and their causes and consequences in relation to British cultures and English society. - Syllabus
