Course objectives
The goal is to develop skills, focusing on effective communication and presentation of oneself in the Russian language. Students will learn different strategies, styles and modes of communication. The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge of the presentation in Russian in a job interview and a business meeting. Become acquainted with the key techniques of social etiquette, assertive techniques and art of dealing with the Russians and being familiar with the principles of social communication. Furthermore, students will learn the structure of linguistically correct speech, rhetorical skills, rhetorical foundations and non-verbal communication.
Syllabus
  • The course deals with the following topics: 1. Means of communication, styles of communication. 2. Advantages and special features of communication in Russian. 3 Personal communication (job interview). 4. Preparation of structured CV in Russian. 5.Presentation. Job interview in Russian. 6. Business communication in Russian - a telephone interview. Specifics. 7. Written communication - a commercial letter, e-mail. Cyrillic and Latin. 8. Corporate and civic culture, the Russian society 9. The principles in dealing with the Russians. Peculiarities of speech culture. 10. Ethical and moral principles of an nterview with a Russian. 11. Working visits, introduction, business card. 12. Use of titles, basic interview at the table. 13. Rhetoric. Art talk with people in a foreign language. 14. Psychology of communication. Stress in a foreign language environment.
