Course objectives
The aim school management teaching is to familiarise the students with the conception and content of the subject school management, main contemporary directions and concepts, as well as with economic possibilities and tools in the school system of CR, to acquire the fundamentals of legal consciousness and acting on the basis of the knowledge of school and civic labour legislature. At the end of the course the student will be able to: understand the basic terminology of the subject and explain the relationships and connections between particular aspects of the subject
Syllabus
  • Topics Educational politics and macro-management of education. Functions, stages and managing activities of educational institutions. Personality of a manager. Psychological aspects of school management. Educational standards as an instrument of management in educational process. Basic legal norms in the Czech educational management (laws, public notices). Marketing and school External school climate. Structure of the Czech educational system. Internal school climate. School climate. School culture. School evaluation. Educational politics in the EU.

Completion: - written test with 15 questions, to pass 100 - 45 % questions have to be answered correctly
