- At the end of the course students should understand the basis of linguistics and be able to start studying particular branches of linguistics in details.
They will be able to explain the process of language acquisition and use practical applications of sociolinguistics, psycholinguistic and ethnolinguistics in their future teaching carier. - Syllabus

- Credit written test (a multiple choice quiz, electronically evaluated). Passmark: 70% for 3-credit course, 60% for 1-credit course).
