- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to apply the theory in the texts of the given period; to demonstrate the main elements of differentiate individual literary styles in the texts, independently prepare an analysis of selected works. At the end of this course, students should be able: to learn practically the history of French literature of the given period; to define mains elements of differentiate individual literary styles; to illustrate the theory by means of texts; differentiate individual literary styles of the given period; to categorise them chronologically and compare them reciprocally. After this course the student should be capable of applying acquired knowledge in writing of seminar and undergraduate works.
- Syllabus
- 1. Thematic and literary theoretical views of analysis. 2. Comparison with another thematically similar text of the same period. 3. Analysis of a historical context. 4. Comparison with another thematically similar text of the another literary period. 5. Individual work with a selected text. 6. Preparation for the analysis of a literary text in bachelor and diploma works. 7. Working with resources, adoption of the applicable standards.
