Prerequisites
The course is designed as an elective one for students of those sectors, who in their work may meet the integrated children with special needs (Social Education, Teacher Training for 1st grade, Kindergarten Teacher). A prerequisite for the completion is the development of individual plan with the use of Person centered planning tools.

Course objectives
The course is focuses on the method Person centered Planning and various aspects of successful integration / inclusion of individual with SEN.
After completing the course, it is expected that the student will be able:
- understand aspects of the integration of person with SEN;
- define and use a variety of methods to support the successful integration
- design an individual plan.
Syllabus
  • During the process of inclusion there is often no sufficient attention given to the social aspect of inclusion. The methods that were developed just to support this aspect also includes tools Person centered planning - the One page Profile, Circle of friends, etc.
  • One page profile is a simple method that can help to significantly change preview of a child by presenting his strengths and development builds on them.
  • On one page, the child is introduced not only positive, but also there are things, people, objects, circumstances, habits that are most important for a child from his point view and should not be overlooked in the school.
  • Circle of Friends is a method that is used for everyday situations in the classroom based on the active involvement of the child's classmates. Methods PATH and MAPs help teachers become aware of where they can lead the class.

Teaching methods
Teaching block with the active participation of the student involved in the preparation of the plan in interaction with individuals with disabilities.
Assessment methods
To receive the credits students must develop a person centered plan for the concrete individual.
