- Course objectives
- The seminar enriches and systematises students´ present knowledge and competences in the field of literary studies and research. Students will be able to explain the development of literary trends and movements in the particular period of Czech literature. They will be able to identify and analyse the style of outstanding literary personalities of the period. They will be able to interpret literary pieces as well as justify and support their views using their knowledge of literary studies.

- Broader and systematised knowledge in the field of literary criticism. New trends in the world of literary science.

- Teaching methods
- Students will analyse scientific articles and thus get a broader knowledge and skills for their own literary studies. They will creatively use their knowledge gained not only in contact classes but also in their individual study of recommended literature which they will be able to discuss regularly with their teacher.

- Type of course: seminar. Type of completion: credit. Credit requirements: active participation in the seminars, attendance min. 80%, final written test.
