- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: (1) understand and explain the basic plant physiological processes; (2) understand the role of plant physiology in the botanical sciences; (3) interpret the diverse plant physiological functions; (4) work with specialized literature
- Syllabus
- This is a general course intended to introduce students to the major topics and concepts of Plant Physiology. 1. General introduction to the plant physiology 2. Structure and function of plant cells. 3. Water regime, water and solute transport 4. Plant nutritions 5. Enzymes 6. Photosynthesis 7. Respiration processes 8. Transport and distribution of organic substances and gases 9. Heterotrophy 10. Plant growth and progress 11. Germination, florescency, dormancy 12. Plant movement
