- The course aims to enlighten your understanding of public speaking by learning how to craft key points in a speech, how to phrase them, and deliver them clearly and confidently.
- Learning outcomes
- The course will focus on inventing, arranging, and crafting memorable points in preparation for delivering informative and persuasive speeches for a variety of audiences.
- Syllabus
- Learn preparation, organization, and delivery of public speeches. Learn to analyze awarding winning speeches and discover your own personal, natural, conversational style while identifying one’s own authentic voice.

- Teaching methods
- Demonstration, modeling, current and historical video /audio samples, and analysis of written speeches.
- Assessment methods
- Attendance is mandatory; students may miss one class but no more. • 80% active participation in lessons, preparation for lessons, and homework when required • Student performances of speeches will be evaluated using a rubric. Student written work will be evaluated to determine clarity of language and ideas.
