- Course objectives
- The aim of the seminar is to strengthen the competences of students for teaching in preschool settings with the focuse on supporting At-risk children a and children with behavioral problems. The seminar is based on the concept of inclusive approaches to the education of at-risk children with the focuse on behavior difficulties. The theoretical framework will be applied to the practice in daily school work.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will have the knowledge and competences to target intervention support for pre-school at-risk children and those with behavioral problems. The seminar is based on the concept of inclusive education and follow-up approaches to the education of individuals at risk of behavioral disorders. In the seminar we will work with theoretical frameworks, which we will apply to specific examples and work in kindergarten.

- Behavior difficulties/disorders in the context of its development – circular context of emotional, cognitive and social support and social inclusion, inclusion in the sense of participation Behavior difficulties/disorders as a barrier in access to learning and education, quality of life – link with the individual context of the child on the path to adulthood ADHD/ADD-and educational needs of child in pre-school age, the risk for the development of behavior disorders Educational Intervention as the approach to children in need Teaching strategies with the focus on behavior-management School environment and provison for promoting and strengthening children, pupils at risk, work with family/community Applied behavior analysis - assessment in pre-school
