Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the structure, character, technical and interpretive problems of both parts of the J.S. Bachs Well-tempered clavier. The aim of the course is also to focus students ' attention on the phrasing, choice of pace, the issue of using pedals and his fillings will also be a discussion on the preference of playing cycle on the harpsichord or on the piano.

  • 1. – 3. Two and three voices fugues 4. – 5. Four and five voices fugues 6. – 7. Preludes 8. Preludes and fugues "instrumental" type 9. Preludes and fugues "vocal" type 10. Using of pedals 11. Tempo relationships between the preludes and fugues 12. Piano or harpsichord?
