- Course objectives
- The course deals with practical activities related to interpretation, reproduction and creative approach to artistic literature. The prevailing method is a direct work with literary texts.
- Learning outcomes
- Seminar in Methodology of Literary Education Students will be able to use various practical activities related to interpretation, reproduction and creative approach to artistic literature. They will be able to apply such knowledge in the environment of nursery schools. The prevailing method is a direct work with literary texts.
- Syllabus
- 1. The choice of literary texts for the work with pre-school children, the role of literature in the emotional and social development. 2. The basis and functions of didactic interpretation. 3. Interpretative work with poetry for pre-school children. 4. Interpretative work with some prosaic genres. 5. Reproduction of texts, recitation. 6. Creative activities - verbal, visual. 7. The possibilities of the work with illustrations in books for children. 8. Processes of the drama in the work with literary texts. 9. Didactic games in literary education.

- Theoretical prepration, discussion about the professional course issues, active students´work with exemplary texts, practical activities.
- Assessment methods
- Completion: credit Requirements: students write an assignment based on selective thematic bibliography (bibliographic data with a short annotation; themes are given at the beginning of the term) of fiction literature for pre-school children, with examples of their use in different activities at nursery schools (emphasis is put on the development of childrens´ aesthetic perception).
