Course objectives
At the end of semester the students will be able differentiate and formulate: Multilingualism and translanguaging- a definition; The concept of multilingualism in terms of language policy and language education; The concept of multilingualism in terms of linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics; The principles of didactics of multilingualism; The motivation for language learning Learning strategies, types of texts and place tasks in the concept of didactics of multilingualism. They analyse of textbooks for teaching German as a second foreign language. They can apply the methods of teaching a second foreign language.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students will be able to understand and explain the relevant concepts of Multilingualism.

  • Multilingualism and translanguaging- a definition The concept of multilingualism in terms of language policy and language education The concept of multilingualism in terms of linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics The principles of didactics of multilingualism The motivation for language learning Learning strategies, types of texts and place tasks in the concept of didactics of multilingualism.
