- The aim of the course is to provide students with initial empirical experience with different types of kindergartens and their educational concepts. To get acquainted with the connection with the previous and subsequent level of care and education of children.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: • to get acquainted with various concepts of contemporary kindergartens; • to present substantiated (argumentatively thought out, rational) statements about the diversity of educational concepts and teaching styles of kindergarten teachers; • understand the continuity in the care and education of pre-school children and the transition to primary education; • use information about oneself, evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, use their knowledge of themselves for further development; • be aware of and, if necessary, revise their attitudes towards their future profession
- Syllabus
- The internship takes place for three days at faculty kindergartens in Brno, which were evaluated by the CSI as examples of good practice. Schools are selected to differ in their focus (Dalton Plan, Start Together, Health Promotion in Kindergartens, Regular Kindergartens). The practice is followed by reflective seminars, which are attended by a teacher and a psychologist from among university teachers. Students reflect on different educational concepts and teaching styles of individual teachers. Students get to know the dynamics of their behavior and experience, their self-concept. They get to know the strengths of their personality with a focus on their further development
