At the end of the course students should be able to:
to include the selected topic to the FEP EE
determine the teaching method
develop selected teaching methods for use in Natural History lesson at elementary school
create a record from hospitation at Natural History hour
propose the lesson of Natural History
Learning outcomes
- the student is able to distinguish different teaching methods; - the student is able to clarify the difference between various forms of teaching; - the student is able to use the experience of exercises in the design of a specific teaching method; - the student is able to use the experience from the exercises in the design of a plan for teaching of selected topic in the lesson of Natural history;

  • Syllabus of lectures:
  • 1) Curricular documents of the Czech Republic and changes in the revision in 2021
  • 2) Inclusion of the Natural history curriculum in the context of the FEP EE after the revision in 2021
  • 3) Preparation for the lesson of Natural history: analysis of the curriculum - knowledge, and understanding
  • 4) Preparation for the lesson of Natural history: curriculum analysis - skills
  • 5) Preparation for the lesson of Natural history: types of learning objectives
  • 6) Forms of teaching: definition of the term, classification of teaching forms according to the normative point of view: basic type lesson

a written test
Fulfilling requirements:
active participation in exercises (1 absence allowed)
the correct execution of materials in the Portfolio of the Beginning Teacher of Natural History
passing a written test (gain of at least 70 % points)
