- Course objectives
- The student is familiar with the objectives and tasks of language teaching and the concept of the subject in RVP ZV. The student is familiar with other curriculum documents and critically reflects on the current materials for teaching Czech language at primary schools. He/she masters various methods and forms in the lessons, in which he/she takes into account the communicative aspect of the subject of the Czech language. Understands the importance of the teacher's personality in teaching Czech as not only a mother tongue but also a second or another language. The seminar leads pupils to deepen the rules of Czech orthography.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: a) apply the aims and tasks of language teaching set out in the RVP ZV; b) choose adequate methods and forms of work in preparation for Czech language lessons; c) appropriately link the individual components of the Czech language and functionally apply inter-subject relations; d) choose or design appropriate exercises and tasks corresponding to the individual characteristics of pupils, including pupils with SEN; e) write without spelling errors and stylistic deficiencies.

- 1. Anchoring of the Czech language in the RVP ZV; curriculum documents. 2. Versatile language analysis. 3. Types of language exercises and work with them. 4. Orthography and its role in the Czech language at of primary school. 5. Games in the Czech language. 6. Current teaching materials for Czech language at primary school. 7. Types of lessons; preparation of the teacher for the lesson. 8. Didactic principles; interconnectedness in the Czech language. 9. Methods and forms of teaching in a linguistically heterogeneous classroom. 10. Pedagogical work in Czech language with pupils with SVP; teaching materials. 11. Use of phraseology, proverbs, sayings in the classroom, their importance for practice. 12. Evaluation and classification in the Czech language.

- Teaching methods
- During the teaching process, methods based on thought operations are used, especially application, analysis and synthesis. Critical thinking and discussion methods are also applied. Teaching is carried out both in the form of independent work of students and group work.
- Assessment methods
- The course ends with a credit, which the student receives after completing a written test. Its content is the mastery of the ability to find and correct lexical, morphological and syntactic spelling errors in the text and justify the solution. The skill is practised in the seminar and also through independent work. In the credit written test, the student may make four errors.
