- A brief insight into new methods that are an important part of schooling in the 21st century, principles of effective teaching, selected pedagogical approaches such as thematic x project-based learning, outdoor learning with overlap into environmental education, inquiry-based learning, place-based learning and critical thinking.

- Course objectives
- Specifics of work with pupils from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds in relation to alternative methods. Forms and methods of supporting pupils in teaching and preparing for lessons. The student will master the basic alternative methods in pedagogical work with the pupil in the course of teaching; the student will be able to understand and explain these methods and interpret their significance in the education of children from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds and pupils with SEN and with other pupils.
