- Course objectives
- The theoretical part of the course will introduce the basic concepts related to media education and its principles, and will also focus on political advertising. The practical part will deal with the didactic transformation of this topic into teaching as an example of the digitization of media topics in general. There is room in the course for learners' own suggestions.
- Learning outcomes
- The participant will explain the basic concepts related to political advertising, describe and present relevant teaching methods and activities suitable for teaching this topic.
- Syllabus
- Topic 1: Principles of media education and the concept of media literacy: introduction to the issue, conceptualization of media education, situation in the Czech Republic. Introduction to available media education materials and approaches to media education Topic 2: Anchoring the topic in the curriculum - RVP ZV and other documents: key competences, educational fields, cross-cutting themes Topic 3: Introduction to political advertising: definition of political advertising and its development; objectives and impacts of political advertising. Topic 4: Persuasive techniques in political advertising; political advertising and the problem of disinformation. Topic 5: Ethics in political advertising: regulation of political advertising and positive and negative types of advertising. Topic 6: Didactic transformation of the topic of political advertising a) didactic background for the transformation of the topic into teaching, examples and analysis of selected teaching activities and materials b) presentation of the created teaching materials by the participants, feedback - discussion (4 teaching hours)
