Course objectives
Students will be acquainted with:
- key concepts in the field of gifted pupils education;
- with models of talent and talent;
- the ways of identification of gifted pupils;
- the appropriate educational methods for development of giftedness;
- the best practices to work with gifted pupils;
-Students will be acquainted with:
- with a system of education gifted in the Czech Republic and other countries.
Learning outcomes
Students:
- know the needs of the gifted pupils;
- design appropriate procedures for working with gifted pupils in their field (subject);
- design appropriate materials for gifted pupils in their field (subject);
- distinguish types of gifted pupils and design appropriate procedures for their education;
- they apply the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports materials dealing with education of gifted pupils in practice.

  • Concept:
  • 1.Opening lesson, giftedness and talent.
  • 2. History of problem, models and conceptions of giftedness.
  • 3. Intelligence, creativity and influence of heredity and enviroment into giftednes.
  • 4. Description of giftedness, soc. emot. problems of gifted pupils.
  • 5. Some types of giftedness and talent.
  • 6. Specific groups of gifted pupils.
  • 7. Identification of gifted pupils.
  • 8. Educational forms and programs.
  • 9. Educational needs of gifted pupils, some models of education.
  • 10. Teachers of the gifted pupils.
  • 11 Support for gifted pupils in the Czech Republic and other countries.
  • 12. Final lesson.
