- Cíle předmětu
- The course is devoted to theatrical aspects of cultural performances such as street protests and demonstrations in the states of Central Europe. Attention will be focused especially on the specifics of anti-communist demonstrations in Central Europe and also on the current practice of protest culture. Students will be introduced to methodological and theoretical approaches in research of theatricality and performativity of public events, based on an interdisciplinary approach – especially in the field of sociocultural anthropology, sociology and performance studies.

- Graduates will be able to:
-analyse the symbolic meanings of contemporary and historic demonstrations in different cultural contexts
-describe various forms of protest and resistance.
-apply the theatrology-based analysis of public events and define how social movements change. - Osnova
