Course objectives
A lecture about so-called "normalization period" in the Czech and Slovak Cinema (1970-1989). We will focus on the politically loaded movies, as well as on children films, genre production or documentary movies. Students will be able to interpret the historical and ideological background of this period.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
be oriented in political background of normalization cinema
analyze elements of ideology included in films explicitly or implicitly
