Course objectives
Under the guidance of experts from practice, students will learn methods, techniques and tools for ideating, prototyping and testing information services. The course is based on solving a design challenge and progressing from low-fidelity prototyping to high-fidelity prototyping and testing. Students work in teams, solving real design challenges under the guidance of experienced designers. Alternatively, the course can be taken as an individual project with intensive mentoring.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students:
- understand the iterative nature of the design process,
- can work with common online prototyping tools,
- learn facilitation skills,
- know how to provide constructive feedback on designs,
- can test service concepts and high-fidelity prototypes using appropriate methods.1.
