- Course objectives
- Don Juan character is one of traditional dramatic images of human existence. From this premise we will follow development of this topic in different historical eras, from appearance of the first written drama about Don Juan (Tirso de Molina, 1630) to dramatic writing of 20th century.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able: analyse different historical version of Don Juan drama; describe and analyse function of dramatic character in tectonics of Don Juan drama; identify and generalise crucial features of Don Juan as dramatic character; formulate reason of universal nature of Don Juan issue in European drama
