- Cíle předmětu
- The lecture is focused on the introduction of visual arts of the Early Modern period in Bohemia and Moravia; Rather than aiming at chronological art history survey of Early Modern era in Bohemia and Moravia, we are oriented to present wider scale of cultural historical topics; The attention will be laid on the commissioners´ background, stylistic aspects of art, historical and regional specifics of the Renaissance and Baroque art in Central Europe, the iconography of Baroque art etc.; At the end of the course student will be able to understand the visual language of the monuments that form the crucial part of cultural heritage of Bohemia and Moravia.
- Výstupy z učení
- The students aquire the basic outline of art history in the 16th - 18th century in Centra-Europe with special regard to Bohemia and Moravia, covering all artistzic media (es. architecture, painting and sculpture). They will get up knowledge of historical circumstances, character of art patronage, artistic genres, forms and functions. Esp. non-European students will be able to understand special character of European visual culture in pre-modern times.
