The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Abstraction is considered one of the main contributions of 20th century modern art. The course covers its genesis and the stimuli from which artists drew (ornament, music, spiritual teachings, science, mathematics and geometry). The primary focus will be on European and Czech art of the first half of the 20th century, not omitting later overlaps to the present.
