- Course objectives
- Students will be introduced to the problems of early Czech music historiography. Emphasis will be laid upon factography, critical assessment of the relevant literature and listening self-confidence.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to understand the stylistic development in music performed in the Czech lands in the given period.

- 1. Music in the Czech history before 1420
- 2. Musical culture from the Hussite movement to the battle of White Mountain (1420 - 1620)
- 3. Music of the baroque (1620 - 1740)
- 4. Music of the classical style (1740 - 1810)
