Prerequisites
The ELF course, which is connected to a Academic seminar course, will provide a platform for students of the Mgr. programme to revise and expand their knowledge, especially in the field of music history. The emphasis is on knowledge of the broader context of the period, which is required of graduates of the Bc. of Musicology degree. An integral part of each lesson is the provision of a basic and extended bibliography, and occasionally partial studies and sources related to the topic, available in the study materials.

The student will review and expand his/her knowledge of music history.
Learning outcomes
After the course completion, the student will be able to:
- distinguish the advanced characteristics of musical genres, styles and periods
- acquire musical analytical knowledge
- review the content of basic musicological literature
