Cíle předmětu
The Creative Information Work course supports the development of students' information literacy. It builds on traditional topics of working with information and complements them with current competencies necessary for the effective development of the individual in the information society. At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
  • Define theories of creativity and critical thinking and use them in their studies;
  • use associations effectively and apply them to creative techniques;
  • name and use fundamental information visualization tools;
  • create custom mind maps for academic and non-academic settings;
  • use creative writing methods for academic and fiction writing;
  • use learning and memory techniques in their studies
  • understand the meaning of self-management during work and learning
  • use AI in the creative process
  • use technology tools for creative work with information and learning (self)

    The focus is on students' ability to develop and apply creative potential in their studies or work.

    Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

    The student can create mind maps
    The student uses creative techniques in learning
    The student can take notes using skechnoting
    The student can use AI to support their own creativity
    Student knows critical reading techniques and can use them in practice.

    Student has a basic understanding of creative writing techniques and can use them

    Výukové metody
    The student studies the chosen topic through e-learning and develops an assignment. The e-learning is available online as an open web course. The student completes homework and takes a test. The midterm test does not count for points, but the questions on the midterm are part of the final test at the end of the semester. The student gives feedback on the assignments to their classmates. The course concludes with the production of a creative journal.
    Metody hodnocení
    The students will receive a bi-weekly introduction to exciting techniques during the semester, from which they will complete assignments and peer evaluations. To complete the course, students must complete the assignments, take an online test, and create a creative journal.
