- Course objectives
- The course aims to familiarize students with the development of the theatrical genre in Spain throughout the twentieth century, from the appearance of realistic theater to the latest theatrical manifestations. Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of the realist convention and subsequent attempts to overcome this convention, as well as on the relationship between the theatrical event and Spanish society. As a secondary objective, the practice of the commentary of theatrical texts is considered.

- The classes will revolve around the commentary of the texts from a certain theoretical basis that students will acquire from a) the professor's explanations in class, b) from the recommended bibliographyThe exam will be written and will serve to check the knowledge that the student has acquired of the development of theater in Spain in the last century and his ability to comment on a dramatic text.
