- Course objectives
- The course comprises revision and practice through written as well as oral exercises (listening exercises, gap-filling exercises, contrastive exercises, etc). By doing these, the ability of students to argue the solutions to particular spelling issues will be examined.

- Students will acquire the knowledge necessary to write correctly.

- Principles of Ukrainian spelling Word division Spelling of prefixes Euphony in Ukrainian Soft character Apostrophe Alternation of o, e with i Writing і/і, writing i/i/i in unstressed positions Doubling and lengthening of consonants Simplifying consonant clusters Capitalising the letter Quotation marks
