Course objectives
The psychoanalytic perspective to the personality includes major themes and underlying assumptions, psychoanalytic structure and process, anxiety, defense and self-protection. The neopsychoanalytic perspective to the personality includes ego psychology, psychosocial theories, problems and prospects of the neoanalytic perspective.
Syllabus
  • Study of contemporary systems of psychotherapy with regard to historical roots, conceptions of human nature, treatment techniques and goals, therapist's role and other related topics. Contains illustrative case material
