Course objectives
Course description. The lecture will be dealing with the development of Czech literature during the second half of the 19th century - from the end of National revival to the 1990's.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus: 1. The generation of Jan Neruda. 2. Group of the Máj 1858 almanac, contemporary situation in society and culture. 3. Change of generations: Svatopluk Čech, Vrchlický, Zeyer, Sládek. 4. New contacts with Slavic and Western literatures.
