- The course will be focused on the recent developments in animated film that found a new means of presentation via the Internet. We will move from the production phase, through distribution, to reception. When exploring the phase of production, we will look at various animation technologies and genres; dealing with the distribution phase will concern the economic questions of dot-com companies that present animated films on the Internet; the phase of reception will be discussed in terms of interactivity and the structure of film entertainment on the Internet. Finally, we will consider how the development of web animated films links to other media, such as television, film, and video.
