- Assessment: examination There are three parts to the examination: 1. The written test based on English or Czenglish (1 - 274) 50 points 2. The written test based on New Cambridge Advanced English (1 - 10) 50 points 3. The English proficiency examination (written and oral) 100 points 3.1 The written part of the proficiency examination 75 points a) Use of English b) Reading comprehension c) Listening comprehension 3.2 The oral part of the proficiency examination 25 points The examination is taken by pairs of candidates. Format: 1. (3) Two-way social interaction (AB) 2. (4) Individual long turns based on visual materials (A, B) 3. (2) Individual focus on vocabulary (A, B) 4. (3) Two-way collaborative task (AB) 5. (4) Three-way discussion (IA, IB, AB) Assessment criteria: 1. Grammar and vocabulary (range, accuracy, appropriacy) 2. Discourse management (coherence, extent, relevance) 3. Pronunciation (stress and rhythm, intonation, individual sounds) 4. Interactive communication (initiating and responding, hesitation, turn-taking) 5. Overall effectiveness (global impression) Penalization for the failed credit test: max. 2 points for each test (subtracted from the obtained score for the respective part of the test); for more than two absences in each term: max. 2 points for each term subtracted from the obtained score for the respective part of the test).
