Course objectives
The course deals with the links between literary and film works. Comprehensive interpretation of literature work and its film version will be the fundmental of the seminary. The participants will follow adaptative methods, shifts of both meaning and style, differences in narrative, time, aesthetical structures of the literature text and film, social function of the work etc. Six film-projections will be part of the seminary.

  • Seminars will focus on these literary and film works: Francouzova milenka(Fowles, Reisz), Markéta Lazarová (Vančura, Vláčil), Spalovač mrtvol(Fuks, Herz), ...a pátý jezdec je Strach (Bělohradská, Brynych), Zapomenuté světlo (Deml, Michálek), Želary (Legátová, Trojan).
