Course objectives
The one semestral course will be specialized from some practical Examples from ethnomusicology: as basic theory and concepts; work with garners (collection) of folk songs; folk organology; special songs called „New folk songs“; music edition; repertory of special interest group etc. We will use audio and video exhibits as completive material.
Syllabus
  • Folk organology (basic theory, practical exhibits).
  • Origins of musicians and dacers from folk groups, „New folk songs“(exhibits of text of theese songs, singers and authors of new folk songs, video exhibits of contenpory production).
  • Practical exmples from music edition (origin and preparing, comparation).
  • Work with collection of folk songs (cover section, comparation of texts, inspiration etc.).
