Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: acquainting students with basics of research of language for special purposes, terminology and specialised texts; making students aware of importance and danger of language for special purposes. Students should understand and explain the problem of kommunication of specialists and laities. acquainting students with language for special purposes of economics They should be able to analize an economic popular scientific text and a scientific text and to compare both.

  • standardisation: term, criterion, word formation
  • languages for special purposes and colloquial language: differences, influence of languages for special purposes on colloquial language

The seminar is based on methods of presentation, analysis and synthesis of knowledge. It also uses collective work, in-class discussions and individual work of students.
