Course objectives
At the end of the course the students will able to define the theme of carnival, place of festivities in the popular culture, elements of play and theatricality that are contained in this kind of fests. Based on reading the texts (chosen parts and chapters) interpretation, debate and giving examples students will be able to describe the basic principles that characterize the phenomena of play of these kinds of festivities.
