- Upon completion of this course, students have demonstrated their ability to implement a research plan on a specific topic, conduct research independently and present the results in a standard written form, which meets the standards of academic discourse.

- The advisor awards the course-unit credit for the semester on the basis of the submitted thesis meeting formal requirements. The thesis will be graded on the basis of the defence and the evaluation reports of the advisor and a second reader.
